Not memory foam (too hot!) and not latex (those allergies!) but somewhere right in the middle. With the best of both materials, and none of the downsides, Helix Dynamic Foam is a supremely contouring, reactively comfortable, and uniquely cooling proprietary premium foam.
Pocketed Microcoils

Pocketed Microcoils.

Hundreds of miniature coils allow for effective weight distribution and pressure relief, along with a light bounce. Because our coils are pocketed individually, which is radically different than a traditional innerspring mattress, transfer of motion is significantly reduced.
High-Grade Polyfoam

High-Grade Polyfoam.

Polyfoam is all about density, and this allows for us to get extremely specific with personalization. High density allows for strength and durability in the base layers, while varying the densities in the upper layers creates different support levels and feel profiles.

Box Spring

This is the foundation that is most common with innerspring mattresses. The best kind of box spring for a mattress with foam is a coil-free box spring. This adds height, but also ensures the bed is properly supported. If you have a traditional box spring, you might want to consider a “bunkie board” for added surface area.
Platform Bed

Platform Bed.

If you’re not concerned about the height of your bed, this surface provides even support across your entire mattress and prevents any kind of sinking.
Metal Grid

Metal Grid.

This foundation usually supplies a little more support than a slatted base since there is support going both horizontally and vertically, but definitely still check for gaps wider than 4” to avoid any dips or sinking over time.

Slatted Base.

Mattresses containing foam are a bit more flexible than innerspring mattresses, which provides a more comfortable surface, but also requires additional support. With a slatted base, just make sure that there are no gaps wider than 4” in any direction.
Adjustable Foundation

Adjustable Foundation.

Foam allows for better movement and more adaptability than traditional innersprings, so for those of you that need a little more flexibility and adjustment throughout the night with an Adjustable Foundation, Helix has you covered. All Helix Mattresses will work on any Adjustable Foundation, just keep in mind that different sides of your mattress won't be able to move independently. Therefore, if you have a Split Adjustable Frame, you'll need to go with two Twin XLs.

If you’re looking for something super low to the ground with more of a “work in progress” look, you’re set. Helix Mattresses have a built in base to provide support, no matter the sleep surface.
